Primary Purpose of Position:


This role Conducts all planning activities relative to the manufacture and/or secondary operation performance for Waxahachie plant, and develops and maintains production schedules for molding, packing, and other production-related operations by performing the following duties. The incumbent is expected to be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow Altor Solution’s standards for safety and conduct. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities – other duties may be assigned 

· Develops and maintains a Master Production Schedule for both the Molding operation and Packing/Secondary Operation to establish sequence of operations and establish lead times to meet shipping dates determined by sales forecasts and/or customer orders. 

· Utilizes plant capacity data and production specifications to calculate requirements relative to the resources (materials, machinery, machine hours, and labor) required to meet customer requirements. 

· Plans and schedules workflows within each department to optimize efficiency and quality, create daily Work Orders, and ensure compliance with the production schedule to meet or exceed customer service requirements; establish priorities and sequences for setups, samples, and production orders. When applicable, negotiates manufacturing and delivery dates with sales/customer service to maximize customer satisfaction. 

· Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure work flows as scheduled, making necessary adjustments to maintain commitments; prepare staff schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.

· Assists in supporting other functions that have a direct impact on planning and scheduling, e.g. Shipping, Purchasing, and Human Resources. 

· Fulfill the Company’s commitment to its customers and to the Quality Management System (QMS – ISO 9001-2015), the Planner/Scheduler has the responsibility and authority to initiate action to prevent nonconformities relating to product, process, and the QMS, and to report such incidents to the appropriate entity for corrective action and resolution. 

· Direct functional responsibility for safety, quality, production scheduling, production, maintenance, tooling, and engineering

· Review production and operating reports, and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.

· Coordinate the preparation of requests for capital equipment in accordance with company policy.

· May be required to perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Education Requirements/Work Experience

· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of production planning and scheduling experience in industrial manufacturing operations.

· Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with a capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office, with advanced expertise in MS Excel.

· Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

· Professional communication skills for interacting with customers regarding shipping requirements.
