Description
The warehouse associate position is an entry level position. This position is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, equipment builds according to install schedules and sales orders.
Requirements
- Investigate and resolve advanced, high-level maintenance and repair issues at the Marlboro warehouse and offsite at client locations.
- Extend outstanding support by meeting customers’ needs on time.
- Advise customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assemble machines as per specifications with hand and power tools and measuring devices.
- Manage accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Run machines to test parts functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of office equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and identifying malfunctions as well as cause.
- Establish relationships with clients.
- Shipping/receiving
- Operate pallet jacks/ability to obtain forklift certification
- Maintain professional appearance, and personal conduct always
- Assist in assuring a safe work environment
- Adhere to warehouse standard operating procedures
- Pays attention to detail, is dependable, productive, works well in a team setting
- New Equipment Builds
- Warehouse cleanliness and upkeep
- Refurbishment
- Cycle Counts when necessary
- Customer interaction and always maintaining professionalism
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills and able to understand and follow machine manuals
- Great communication skills with team members and customers
Physical demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes
Position type and expected hours of work: Full Time, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Travel: Travel while working within the warehouse is required if emergency parts/toner deliveries are needed for down machines at customer sites. Once fully trained to be a Junior Service Technician, daily travel is required to service customers’ machines onsite as needed within an assigned, dedicated territory within New England.
Required education or experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required, with a clean driving record and valid vehicle insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to drive 2 hours, where service may be required outside of the general area or assigned territory.
- 1+ years of experience preferred in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of copier/printer office equipment.
- Industry knowledge of major copier and printer manufacturers such as Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, and/or Xerox preferred.
- Networking knowledge preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and work independently
