NFL Players, Inc. (licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association) is looking for an analytical, detailed-oriented Licensing Coordinator to join our award-winning licensing team!  This department knows NFL players better than anyone and works closely with all NFLPA licensees to help maximize their usage of group player rights.

The Licensing Coordinator provides vital partner support to NFLPA licensees and assists account managers with day-to-day tasks including, but not limited to, approval of consumer products featuring NFL players’ intellectual property, tracking marketing commitments, organizing licensee meetings and monthly business updates, royalty reporting, forecasting and analysis, and researching and evaluating new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have two+ years’ marketing and business experience and should be proficient with Microsoft Suite- Excel and Power BI dashboards. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Business, Accounting, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related field is preferred. Candidates should also possess the ability to analyze data, discover trends and patterns, work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day relationship and correspondence with category licensees, including providing assistance with product development, production, marketing, retail distribution and sales, and sample product mailings.
  • Work with licensees to incorporate NFLPA brand identity through all facets of partner product development and monitor compliance, including product review and approval, packaging and marketing and advertising materials featuring NFL players’ intellectual property.  Regularly monitor and assess licensee distribution channels to ensure best representation of NFLPA’s intellectual assets and brand identity is consistent with approved materials.
  • Establish and maintain electronic filing system, including marketing/product design materials, contracts, addendums and renewals.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal departments such as Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Player Services to coordinate contracts, player activations, consumer engagement at retail channels (e.g., eCommerce and social commerce), and process royalty payments to ensure compliance with license agreements.
  • Maintain internal database records of category license agreements, associated sales reports and royalty payments, including compilation and processing of player payments.
  • Assist category managers with P&L and budget projections, including input on quarterly and YOY sales and royalty analysis, licensed product performance and category forecasting for OKRs.


This position is non-exempt and is represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Local 2 and is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between the NFLPA and OPEIU, Local 2.  The starting salary for this position is $58,000 annually. Additionally, the NFLPA offers a comprehensive benefit package, a fun, learning culture, and flexible work environment. Full-time employees are required to work in the office a minimum of three days a week.
