QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ engineering or related technical field preferred -OR- 3+ years of professional work experience in operating systems and server infrastructure.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and group management.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a VMware administrator, with proven knowledge and experience in ESXi, vCenter, and associated products.
- Certifications or equivalent experience with the following skills is preferred.
- Microsoft role-based certifications (Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365)
- Servers, SAN/NAS, and backup
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Identity Management/Provisioning
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$80,277 (TA-7)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Technical Skills:
- Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and supporting infrastructure hardware, including servers, storage, backup and recovery software, and operating systems.
- Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 email and collaboration services.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN network topologies and protocols.
- Experience with databases, web servers, and certificate management is a plus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
- System and Server Infrastructure: Install, configure, and manage the district's overall server and system infrastructure. Provide high-level technical support, including creating and maintaining technical documentation and ensuring hardware and software standards are met.
- Stakeholder and Vendor Relation: Proactively work with the district stakeholders and vendors to maintain the district's software, hardware, and operation.
- System Integration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure systems are integrated with other applications and infrastructure.
- Planning and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule downtime with district staff for updates and upgrades of services and systems at the datacenters.
- System Performance Monitoring: Monitor district systems and services for maximum performance, uptime, proactive alerting, and event logging.
- Technology Research and Adoption: Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices related to data center infrastructure.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing district operations.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned that support the district's overall objectives.

- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)
- Travel: Occasional travel within the district and data centers.
- Mental Demands: Work with the frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
