Title : Senior Medical Supply Technician

In this role, you will :
- Maintenance, repair, and inspection of complex medical equipment, ensuring all equipment meets operational, health, and
safety standards. - Deliver equipment, set up and provide instruction, make on-site adjustments and repairs.
- Oversee and conduct troubleshooting of advanced equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical expertise to ensure minimal
downtime and proper functioning of equipment. - Manage inventory and equipment lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, proper maintenance, and timely repairs, while
identifying and addressing any gaps in equipment availability or functionality. - Ensure compliance with health and safety standards through proactive monitoring, auditing, and reporting of equipment
condition, safety issues, and repair activities. - Provide guidance on the selection, acquisition, and disposal of surplus equipment, ensuring that donations, purchases, and
disposals meet safety regulations and operational needs. - Evaluate donated equipment to determine value, condition, and safety status, ensuring it meets required standards and is not subject to recalls or safety advisories.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the inventory management system, ensuring all maintenance, repair, and safety reports are
accurately documented and easily accessible for audits and reporting purposes. - Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery, setup, and troubleshooting of equipment, addressing any client issues or needs promptly and professionally.
- Work with a wide variety of health care professionals to ensure timely and safe completion of work orders
What we are looking for :
- The minimum qualifications for this position is 3 to 5 years of experience and/or a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to identify problems and apply technical knowledge to develop solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of medical and mobility equipment, including diagnostics, repair, preventive maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Ability to contribute to technical standards, process improvements, and innovation projects within the program.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting capabilities (documented completion of mechanical training courses is ideal).
- Strong customer service and communication skills, verbal and written.
- A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract is required.
- Able to do heavy lifting (50lbs to 100lbs).
- Demonstrated experience in a work order shop environment (e.g., vehicle repair and maintenance) is an asset.
- Experience with seniors, cognitively impaired and physically disabled clients is an asset.
- Computer skills in inventory control systems is a definite asset.
- Previous WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training is considered an asset.
