Location: Gatwick (Hybrid working – approx. 2 flexible days a week in our fantastic office)

Salary: £28k to £30k dependent upon experience + potential bonus + 12 flexible days in addition to holiday entitlement + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Sales Operations Executive as we expand our sales team to deliver Sales Digital Transformation in our market. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, as Sales Operations Executive you will provide the single point of contact for the Sales Teams to manage customer queries (supply / blocked orders).

A day in the life of a Sales Operations Executive …

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Manage and co-ordinate all customer nonpayment issues
  • Manage and communicate all blocked orders
  • Link between Sales teams and Customer Services to provide central contact to chase customer queries with the internal functions to provide timely responses to customer on the Account Manager's behalf - or provide concise communication for Account Managers to send on
  • Managing EDI for SBUX customers - inputting pricing, managing SKU changes and updating invoicing / back orders
  • Sales Out specific reporting for Customer Business Teams / Channels
  • Keeping unmanaged customer data base updated, with contacts, addresses and sales reporting to ensure any total business communications (CPI's / Terms changes etc) can be cascaded and track on implementation
  • Ensure Indirect sales data is uploaded into the Indirect dashboard. Linking in with Nim business analytics
  • Ownership and maintenance of the Sales Policy Manual

 

What will make you successful

To be successful in this role, you’ll already have some fantastic Sales / Commercial experience under your belt ideally within the FMCG sector. You should have a can do, problem solving mindset and be able to build relationships internally and with key customers externally.  You will, with an analytical mindset, be able to simplify data and process for the internal teams.

 

You will also:

  • Be proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs
  • Be comfortable with dealing with external customers – both RTM (eg supply chain contacts), and End Users (Invoice / EDI queries)                
  • Have the ability to work autonomously
  • Have courage to challenge and ability to influence without authority                        
  • Be open to new ways of doing things
  • Have strong and flexible communication skills and styles
  • Be organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads
