Job Description
Summary
An integral team member who assists estimators prepare construction project bids and budgets.
Essential Functions

Support the estimating team with the following tasks:
Quantity Takeoffs
Subcontractor Pricing
Material Pricing
Production Studies and Labor Estimates
Cost Tracking
Agency Pre-Bid Meetings
Site Visits
Bid Reviews with Estimators and Managers
Competencies

Supervisory Requirements
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The employee will be assisting with construction estimates and budgets for heavy civil and highway construction projects. This position is typically sitting at our Corporate office in Jacksonville, FL.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The incumbent regularly sits for long periods of time at a desk in front of a computer screen.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time nonexempt position.
Travel
The role requires no travel.
Required Education and Experience
Working towards a bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields of study.
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Education
Knowledge of general construction practices.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
