Overview & Responsibilities

Overview:

To document and perform basic shipping and receiving of equipment and to maintain shop compliance using proper processes. Must be able to complete all work in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs.

• Able to work in a team environment.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings to aid in lifting, packaging and supporting critical turbomachinery and components for shipment.

• Has a good understanding of use for tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary functions of the job.

• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

• Basic knowledge and capacity to learn how to use various tooling: saws, nail guns, other required tools necessary to perform the job.

• Ability to learn to accurately measure and record all required documentation.

• Ability to learn and process documentation associated with turbo machinery such as inspection reports, photo logs, hold tags, safety and audit documentation.

• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

• Monitors shipments, arranges boxes/containers, and enters receipt of goods into Oracle ERP system.

• Monitors and tracks material locations using software such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and Oracle to ensure material is available and easy to locate when needed on shop floor.

• Accepts ownership over work performance and works to improve skillset.  

           
 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• 1-3 years’ experience with rotating equipment / turbomachinery preferred

• 3+ years' experience with shipping and receiving responsibilities using an ERP system such as Oracle

• Experience with rigging and lifting

• Holds a valid Driver’s License
