Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a team that builds life-saving vehicles? At Life Line Emergency Vehicles, we’re proud to design and manufacture custom ambulances trusted across the country. Right now, we’re looking for a Bare Metals Pre-Drill Operator to join our Metals Department.
What You’ll Do
In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of production—drilling patterns, building shelf dividers, and fabricating key parts like rub rails, fenderettes, and door panels. You’ll use a variety of tools and equipment, follow blueprints, and ensure every piece meets our high-quality standards. Beyond your own work, you’ll also support teammates, help train new employees, and keep production moving smoothly.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Operating (or learning to operate) plasma cutters, shears, notchers, saws, drills, and presses
- Drilling holes and building parts based on blueprints and work orders
- Inspecting and troubleshooting to maintain quality standards
- Meeting deadlines and contributing to cost reduction goals
- Partnering with Engineering and the Parts Department
- Supporting and training other production team members
- Maintaining accurate records and following safety procedures
Requirements include:
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Previous mechanical experience preferred (knowledge of Life Line products a plus)
- Operating plasma cutters, shears, notchers, saws, drills, and presses
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter with good work discipline and reliability
- Team-oriented and motivated to learn
- High school diploma or technical training, or equivalent experience
*Candidates who meet the required qualifications and clearly show relevant experience on their resumes will be considered.
Physical requirements:
You’ll be active on the floor—standing, moving, lifting, and working with tools and materials. The ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. is needed.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Flexibility required for early or extended hours on occasion.
Why Life Line?
At Life Line, you won’t just build parts, you’ll be part of a team that builds ambulances saving lives every day. We offer a supportive environment where teamwork matters, your skills grow, and your contributions make a difference.
