S3, Inc. is seeking a Special Project Manager to support our  Huntsville, AL. team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

This is not a teleworking position. Duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, Al 35806.

Job Descriptions:

Projects for Special Project Manager (SPM) generally have a significant impact on the corporate back office operations, future business opportunities, and/or P&L project improvements. The SPM may evaluate strategic business initiatives, evaluate bid posture for competitiveness, identify and mitigate corporate risk areas in the specialty areas of the SPM, or complete analysis with recommendations for business operations to ensure compliance with contractual, financial, or legal requirements.         

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                            

  • The SPM will be responsible for P&L Accountability for aviation fixed and rotary wing aircraft purchase, lease,  maintenance,  repair, modifications, and manufacture. 
  • Management of associated facility operations budgets.
  • Strategic planning focused to process optimization, quality, and efficiency. 
  • Business Development. 
  • Proposal process following Shipley Guidance. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred. 
  • Have 12 years relevant experience in P&L management of aviation operations. 
  • Program Management experience of aviation maintenance contracts for Department of Defense. 
  • Experience managing aviation operations along with subsidiary operations. 
  • Experience developing KPIs to tract process metrics. 
  • P&L accountability. 
  • Experience with Cost Point is a plus.
