Position Overview
OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added adhesive and fastener components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Compounder is responsible for the accurate preparation, mixing, and handling of raw materials to produce foam adhesive according to strict formulation and safety standards. This role is critical to maintaining product consistency, quality, and safety in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following chemical handling, PPE, and hazard communication procedures.
- Ensure batch integrity by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMP, and quality control protocols.
- Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials and chemical ingredients following batch records, formulations, and safety guidelines.
- Operate mixing and blending equipment such as high-speed mixers, tanks, agitators, and pumps.
- Monitor reaction times, temperatures, and material conditions throughout the compounding process.
- Complete accurate batch documentation, including lot numbers, weights, and process times.
- Perform in-process testing and make minor batch adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
- Clean and sanitize mixing equipment, tanks, and work areas per company protocols.
- Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and production teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
