About the role
Caterpillar of Australia currently has an opportunity for an energetic, passionate & committed Lean Operations Analyst to join the Queensland Distribution Centre (QDC) based in Yatala, QLD. This position supports continuous improvement and operational excellence by coordinating training, analysing data and dealer claims, administering lean programs and standards, and maintaining key information systems to enhance planning and performance across the facility.
Job Responsibilities for this role include:
Data Analysis and Reporting
Dealer Claims Analysis
Lean/CI Program Coordination and Training
Administration of Facility Improvement Projects & Hosting Kaizen events
Administration of Safe Job Procedures, Standard Work, and various facility audits
Associate Training and Development Coordination
Maintains SharePoint, Power BI & Information Repositories
Supports Operations with Planning & Calendars
Key skills requirements for this role include:
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Data Analytics: Knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience with Lean principles or other continuous improvement methodologies preferable
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field preferable
Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Prior experience within a fast-paced warehousing/logistics or manufacturing environment
Additional Information
Working environment - 5 days in office
