The Role at a glance:
Elior North America is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and distribution programs across regional and national markets. In this role, you will oversee the full sourcing lifecycle—including RFP/RFI events, financial analysis, supplier negotiations, and contract management—while ensuring cost savings, compliance, and alignment with company initiatives. As part of a high-impact corporate function, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening Elior’s supply chain to support millions of meals served daily across schools, healthcare facilities, senior living communities, and more.
You’ll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, oversee supplier relationships, and drive process improvements across the supply chain. Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement, you’ll also play a critical role in supplier diversity, sustainability, and integration of acquired companies.

What you'll be doing:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead development and execution of sourcing strategies for regional/secondary distribution and DSD contracts.
- Manage RFI/RFP processes, evaluate proposals, and conduct pricing negotiations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement practices.
Supplier Management
- Negotiate supplier agreements to ensure best price, service, and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships through regular reviews and performance monitoring.
- Support supply chain program adoption and compliance across segments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and segment leaders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Support unit openings/closings, acquisitions, and integration of new companies.
- Develop procurement programs that advance supplier diversity and sustainability goals.
Process & Technology Improvements
- Implement technology initiatives (EDI, P2P tools, vendor compliance).
- Leverage analytics (Power BI, Excel) for spend analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
What we're looking for:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of management experience in procurement or supply chain.
- Experience with regional and distribution food programs.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of commodity markets and cost drivers for food categories.
- Proficiency in RFP/RFI processes, contract terms, and sourcing techniques.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships.
- Understanding of insurance, indemnification, audit, and termination clauses.
- Experience supporting supplier diversity and corporate sustainability initiatives.
Where you'll be working:
- This position is based at our corporate office in Houston, TX, with an expectation of four days onsite per week and one remote day. Office Address: 4920 Westway Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77041
- Role requires limited travel to distributors, typically a couple of times per quarter.
Compensation Range
Compensation for this role is $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience.
