Description


· Responsible for the financial performance of the department and achievement of desired metrics, including profitable sales growth, disciplines expense control and targeted net return on sales. 

· Accountable for the evaluation and reshaping of departmental processes to improve efficiency. 

· Work at parts counter to support customer sales.

· Responsible for creating a customer friendly retail environment within the parts department, which includes promotional marketing, merchandising of showroom, and reinforcing excellent customer service skills among direct reports. 

· Exhibits outstanding communication skills and cooperates with other departments and locations within JJ Nichting. 

· Promotes teamwork and maintains a positive attitude. 

· Collaborates with Corporate Parts Manager to ensure proper on-hand parts inventory to meet customer demand while achieving desired inventory performance standards. 

· Oversees ongoing inventory processes to ensure proper inventory control.

· Assures all incoming orders for the day are receipted, inventoried, and disbursed to correct location or customer.

· Verifies all daily emergency orders and stock orders are placed in a timely manner.

· Researches all inventory discrepancies and makes appropriate changes to the business system.

· Manages D2D process to utilize the opportunity to sell obsolete, non-returnable or slow-moving parts while maintaining the company's D2D status.

· Reviews Amax orders before deleting to ensure ship direct items needed are transferred from Pilot Grove. 

· Manages all back ordered parts and communicates status to both internal and external customers.

· Weekly reviews all open counter invoices and closes all tickets that have been completed.

· Weekly verify show room parts are faced, filled and promo items are displayed and advertised.

· Monthly completes perpetual inventory (40-line-item inventory completed and % 

· Complete parts return monthly with coordination from the Corporate Parts Manager.

· Review bin X on hand items as well as negative on hand and make appropriate changes.

· Assists in recruiting, hiring, and retaining talented employees and effectively developing departmental personnel.

· Provides consistent and clear direction for subordinates. 

· Sets positive examples for all employees by following and enforcing company policy.

Requirements

· High school diploma or GED equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

· Previous agricultural industry or equipment dealership experience preferred. 

· Prior management experience.

· Ability to effectively communicate individually and in a group setting with customers and employees.

· A willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required. 

· Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.

· Proficient in computer systems and software for inventory management.

· Ability to lift 50-70 pounds.

· Exceptional listening skills. 

· Strong attention to detail.

· Conflict resolution experience.
