Position Purpose:
The Charis Creative Media Specialist designs and produces high-impact, visually compelling materials that bring Charis Bible College’s mission and brand to life. This role blends creativity with strategic marketing – developing graphics, layouts, and visual assets that enhance engagement and strengthen brand recognition. From concept to execution, the Charis Creative Media Specialist delivers innovative solutions that connect with audiences and drive measurable results, in alignment with the Charis brand, to directly influence Charis enrollment initiatives.
Essential Duties:
- Design and produce visually compelling content, including graphics, photography, and video, for digital platforms, print, television, and merchandise, ensuring consistent brand representation.
- Conceptualize and implement design solutions that meet strategic marketing objectives and engage and capture the attention of the target audience.
- Lead creative sessions and contribute innovative ideas to visually communicate campaign messages.
- Translate ministry messages, testimonies, and event highlights into compelling visual stories that inspire audiences, strengthen their connection to Charis, and prompt prospective students to take the next step in applying.
- Produce high-quality graphics, video content, and promotional materials that meet strategic goals.
- Manage design projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring timely completion and consistent quality.
- Maintain and apply branding guidelines across all creative work.
- Review and approve design proofs, ensuring that all materials meet Charis’ standards.
- Capture, edit, and deliver event photography in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain videography, photography, and design equipment, ensuring proper care, organization, and asset tracking.
- Maintain exemplary file management practices, organizing and storing digital assets securely using specialized storage solutions.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all design processes.
- Actively research and apply innovative design approaches and technologies that increase brand visibility, audience connection, and engagement.
- Track KPIs, such as engagement rates, conversion metrics, and audience response to visual content, and use these insights to refine strategies and designs, optimizing for improved performance and engagement.
- Occasionally interview instructors, alumni, and students for content development.
- Coordinate with other departments across the ministry to ensure a cohesive approach to projects and campaigns.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, or other media editing software.
- Strong creative and visual design skills with the ability to produce clean, dynamic, and engaging graphic, video, and multimedia content from concept through final production.
- Solid understanding of branding principles and the ability to apply them across a range of media.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality visual content.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of content strategy and marketing principles to effectively contribute to campaign goals.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and adjust creative strategies to improve content effectiveness and brand reach.
- Must be able to operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Charis Bible College graduate preferred.
- Must be trustworthy to uphold the ministry vision and execute plans as directed.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in professional design or content creation.
- Proven proficiency in graphic design, video editing, and digital content creation.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of digital, print, and multimedia projects.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
