ROLE
The Specialist, Supply Planning is responsible for day-to-day purchasing and replenishment activities across a variety of categories. In addition to ensuring that inventory is available at all warehouse locations and in optimized quantities, this role will work daily with vendor contacts as well as receiving inventory control and accounting teams to ensure all orders and invoices are processed and reconciled accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing and replenishment methods, inventory management, and vendor management.
What You’ll Do
- Write and manage purchase orders for vendors across multiple departments, including but not limited to Grocery, Frozen, Dairy, Alcohol and Indirect.
- Responsible for in-stock rate of assigned vendors.
- Follow up with vendors on product deliveries, out of stock issues, and pricing issues.
- Schedule and resolve goods pickups, returns and credits with vendors and accounting departments.
- Validate vendor invoices to ensure correct purchasing price and quantities are issued.
- Work with warehouse teams to ensure products are received timely and accurately, and trouble shoot delivery and receiving issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and/or education
- 1-2 years in food or CPG-focused merchandising or procurement
- Experience with Microsoft Suite required SAP knowledge preferred
- Experience managing procurement and vendor management across multiple departments
- Analytical with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Adept at working in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment, with an appetite for continuous learning
- Strong follow-up skills in managing requests and projects that span several weeks
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- High level of enthusiasm, initiative, and solution driven mindset
- Proven ability to be resourceful, pro-active, and a self-starter.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
- Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture.
The expected compensation for this role is $64,350-$70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
