Where and how you can work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a campus in Austin, Texas which is now home to our US operations. This is a hybrid role in Austin, Texas, so you must be able to commute to our office 1-2 times a week.
About the team
Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Canva’s success - we’ve hired some of the best people from all over the world and it takes a curious, tenacious and creative Recruiter to make sure we’re always discovering talent that will take Canva into the future.
As the GTM Recruiter, you'll develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders to understand Canva’s continually evolving Product organisation. You will own the hiring efforts for our Sales, Customer Success and other specialised roles within our GTM teams. You'll develop creative recruiting strategies while focusing on global sourcing, diversity hiring, and innovative approaches to engaging passive candidates.
You will be passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate experience and act as the primary advocate for candidates, leading them through the recruiting and interviewing process and connecting them to the magic of working at Canva.
You’ll be the subject matter expert partnering with the business to continuously educating us on the what, where, and how of sourcing strategies, including market data, trends, and the best sourcing channels to engage top talent. You’ll pioneer and lead the usage of new tools for talent mapping, candidate nurturing, and building market intelligence to share with the Canva teams.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Hiring Strategies: Work with your key stakeholders to develop a proactive hiring a sourcing strategy and to understand the core role requirements for GTM roles
- Sourcing: You’ll be responsible for developing and executing on sourcing strategies that deliver the strongest results and make sure we’re bringing top talent into the GTM teams. Identifying top talent through a variety of passive channels including bespoke country social platforms, market research, Boolean, referrals, events, and sourcing campaigns. Think creatively about reinventing the way we identify top talent.
- Full life-cycle recruiting: You’ll get to own the recruiting process from start to finish, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
- Hire the best: Your focus will be on hiring quality candidates with agility and speed. We regularly do Global searches to find the best talent for Canva.
- Partner with your hiring managers: You will work closely with your hiring managers to gain a deeper understanding of how each role fits into Canva.
- Obsess about candidate experience: At Canva we care deeply about our People. Our candidate experience isn’t anything different. You are well-spoken on the phone and articulate over emails. You can effectively share the Canva story, vision and culture and act as a brand ambassador.
- Data-driven: You are always trying to improve our hiring process and you will think with a data-first approach.

You love what you do and dive into the details, consistently delivering quality results on time while wearing many hats.
- Creativity and proactivity are at the core of your approach. You enjoy researching and staying up to date with the ever-evolving art of sourcing talent, and you’re not afraid to explore different platforms, technology tools, social networks, and databases to uncover the best talent in the world.
- Your understanding of Canva’s product, culture, and mission gives you the ability to attract the right candidates. You know how to leverage our unique offerings to showcase Canva as an enticing employer. Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism guide your approach, and you place strong importance on creating exceptional experiences for both candidates and hiring managers.
