Primary Function: The Asset and Compliance Manager is responsible for the coordination of the activities for all Surview locations and employees, ensuring compliance with various state and federal mandates, tracking of licensure and permits, inventory control of Company assets, and safety coordination with the Corporate Director of Safety and Risk.

Candidates MUST be local to the Richmond, VA area and be in office every day.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Safety

  • Partner with the Corporate Director of Safety and Risk to monitor safety programs for Surview. 
  • Oversee investigations following incidents/accidents and present findings to management. Additionally, partner with Human Resources and the corporate safety team on any necessary next steps.  
  • Maintain safety statistics, making them available for OSHA filings, workers’ compensation insurance, etc. 
  • Log all safety meetings (committee, tailboards, etc.) and make them available upon request. 
  • Manage the office and facility to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. 

Compliance

  • Oversee the creation of internal control and operational programs, policies, procedures, and practices. 
  • Review and analyze compliance audits. 
  • Provide data to Project Controls as needed. 
  • Manage employee training including the Review and Verification Services (RAVS) written programs in the ISNetworld account.  
  • Manage required compliance training for employees through the UL Platform, and assigns ITS-OQ training for employees working on client specific projects. 
  • Assist with business operations tasks, such as updating ISNetworld, DOT compliance, etc. 
  • Maintain driver training program (Key Six or Others). 
  • Maintain business compliance accounts such as Avetta, DCM, MSHA, NCMS, Veriforce, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual hours and incidents for clients. 

Asset Management: 

  • Responsible for inventory control of Surview equipment and vehicles. 
  • Maintain DOT compliance records.
  • Determine which employees are to be provided Company assets. 
  • Assist with the maintenance log for vehicles through proper software, updating information such as WEX, EZ Pass, and Maintenance notifications. 
  • Administer and monitor Samsara for safety and usage data as necessary. 

Other Duties: 

  • 10% of time will be warehouse duties operating a pallet jack and/or forklift.
  • Maintain the office supply inventory. 
  • Enter and track field crew workers time and expense entries.
  • Purchasing project specific materials and tracking materials for job delivery or pickup 
  • Maintain and update employee directories, ensuring they are current and accurate. 
  • Participate in employee onboarding, including coordinating with IT, HR, and Equipment group. 
  • Lead weekly business operations meeting with IT, fleet management, and Operations to receive and provide updates on operational initiatives and tasks. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Solid understanding of general safety and the integrity management and utility businesses  
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy 
  • Ability to drive employee behavior 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables on a daily basis 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form 
  • Ability to rapidly establish creditability and relationships with a broad range of individuals 
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and multi-task 

    Education and Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline plus a minimum of four (4) years of directly related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience 
    • Previous supervisory experience is desired 
    • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a business operations role 

    Additional: 

    • Must possess a valid Real ID driver’s license and clean driving record 

    Physical Demands

    Duties are performed in an office and field environment.   

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time 
    • Consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery 
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information. 
    • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
