Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in leading project teams in the development of multiple multi-family projects.

Job Responsibilities in assisting the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the design team in the development of the construction drawings for assigned projects
  • Assist with permitting and plan review process, including coordination with local utility providers
  • Assist in developing the subcontractor and vendor list for assigned projects
  • Assist in the management of the bidding process, including initial cost estimate, bid solicitation, compilation of bids received, and preparation of the final cost estimate
  • Assist in preparing all contracts and purchase orders
  • Assist the Project Manager in monitoring assigned projects and the Project Superintendents in their daily tasks
  • When required or requested by the Project Manager, interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, equity investors and lenders
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
  • Travel to jobsites as needed to coordinate the work on assigned projects as advised by the Project Manager.  Travel will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Job sites

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a construction management or engineering program
  • Demonstrate knowledge of construction safety and represent strong safety values
  • Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be an effective communicator.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Must have prior experience with PROCORE
  • This position will require monthly travel to the Austin, TX corporate offices and daily travel to job sites in Dallas, TX.
