Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for a Director of Implementation to join our team! 

The Director of Implementation will lead the successful deployment of Smart Data Solution products across various healthcare customers. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, driving implementation strategies, and ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success. The Director will focus on optimizing implementation processes, enhancing scalability, and ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations. This role ensures efficient execution of implementation projects, aligns with business goals, and enhances customer satisfaction through seamless onboarding and adoption.


What you’ll be doing?

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Project Managers and Business Analysts responsible for client implementations.
  • Define and execute strategic implementation roadmaps that align with company goals and customer expectations.
  • Standardize best practices, methodologies, and frameworks to drive efficient software deployment and user adoption.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to optimize implementation strategies, resource allocation, and project priorities.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture that emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and high-quality execution.

Project & Program Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the Smart Data Solution products, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track implementation success and efficiency.
  • Accountable for implementation project deliverable and project revenue targets.
  • Create Implementation pipeline and capacity forecast plan and deliver to it.
  • Develop scalable processes for managing multiple concurrent implementations across different healthcare customers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a proactive approach to issue resolution and change management.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to refine implementation workflows, resolve technical roadblocks, drive automation, and enhance system integrations.

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary escalation point for high-priority implementation issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their unique needs and compliance requirements are met.
  • Align closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure a seamless transition from contract signing to go-live.
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement in the implementation experience.

Process Optimization & Innovation:

  • Develop and maintain standardized implementation playbooks, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Leverage analytics and reporting to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, self-service tools, and technology enhancements to streamline implementation.

What we’re looking for?

Required skills:

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in software implementation, project management, or professional services.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams of project managers or implementation specialists.
  • Strong background in SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud-based solutions.
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder software implementations.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of customer success, onboarding, and software adoption strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive strategic decisions and process improvements.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS deployment, system configurations, and implementation best practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data migration processes, and healthcare data security protocols.
  • Experience with project management and implementation tools like JIRA, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Clarity, or similar platforms.
  • Previous experience working in high-growth or fast-paced SaaS environments.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of AI/ML applications in healthcare is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify implementation challenges and create effective solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to build trust with healthcare clients and ensure a smooth adoption experience.
  • Change Management Expertise: Skilled in guiding organizations through software transitions and overcoming resistance to change.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Location: This position is located in our Dallas, TX office.
