Inventory Control Specialist: Full-Time

We’re looking for a passionate individual to fill our Inventory Control Specialist role and to join 1 of our 12 locations located in Quincy, IL where we work together to continuously improve the bottled water industry.

Premium Waters, Inc. was founded in1994 when Cy Chesterman of The Chesterman Company ventured into the bottled water business by purchasing a bottled water plant in Willmar, Minnesota. What you’ll be working on

Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Cycle Count to ensure inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, ingredients and any other items that may need to be counted.
  • Manage timely receipts of materials to prevent production downtime and ensure right-sized inventories. Understand vendor lead times of raw materials.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and help resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
  • Verify Raw materials on the production schedule are available before production, and put away in the correct location.
  • Maintain and review computerized records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
  • Put away received raw materials and ensure that they are rotated properly. 
  • Forklift knowledge and use is required.
  • Prepare and ship sales samples as requested, and ship in JDE in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and purchasing of raw materials.
  • Basic knowledge of dock scheduling and managing as a backup for warehouse.
  • Computer experience, including Word and Excel is required.  
  • Basic knowledge of SQF, GMPs, and general documentation.
  • Investigate any inventory discrepancies rather it be a full good or raw material of any sort.

About youpreferred requirements for this role

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • 2-3 years previous experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required.
  • Computer experience is required – strong Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to walk/climb to count inventories.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus. We will train.
  • Valid State Issued Driver’s License is required.
