Certified Nurse Aide Instructor - Forest City and Hampton
CATEGORY/LEVEL: Part-Time
BASICFUNCTION: Provide classroom, lab, and clinical education training inconformance with the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensingguidelines, Board policies, and Administrative guidelines. This position offersthe flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend hours.
STARTDATE: ASAP
SALARY: $39.34per hour, not to exceed 29 hours per week. This position is not eligible forbenefits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current Iowa registered nursing license required. Two years of full-time experience as a registered nurse with at least one year in long-term care. Completion of the train-the-trainer program for Certified Nurse Aide also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous teaching experience preferred.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Conduct effective instruction focused on the application of learning.
• Provide clinical instruction to support and enhance classroom instruction.
• Complete course documentation and maintain proper student/course recordkeeping.
• Work with other faculty/staff as assigned to correct clinical-related assignments and maintain proper student recordkeeping.
• Attend program meetings as schedules allow.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with assigned agency staff members.
• Maintain compliance with agency requirements as designated by Division Chair including, but not limited to, current CPR, current immunizations, mandatory reporting, and competency validation.
• Participate in ongoing review and evaluation of the program by the Iowa Department of Education, Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Iowa Board of Nursing, and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
• Maintain strong organizational skills, demonstrate reliability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Fulfill other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
