Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Close & Reporting
- Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing variances.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Financial Analysis & Business Support
- Prepare monthly management reports and support financial analysis for business reviews, ad hoc requests, and interdepartmental projects.
- Participate in financial review meetings and conduct variance follow-ups to support data-driven decision-making.
- Policy, Compliance & Technical Guidance
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance to departments on revenue and expenditure classification.
- Process Improvement & System Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiencies.
- Recommend enhancements to account structures, auditing procedures, and automation tools.
- Special Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial operations and reporting.
- Support ad hoc initiatives and collaborate with various teams to address evolving operational needs.
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA or equivalent degree with 3+ years of experience (public accounting experience is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data and generate reports, statements, and projections
- Ability to interact with internal and external department with customer service mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment
- Thorough understanding of professional accounting principles, methods, and procedures.
- Capability to analyze budgetary expenditures for compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Aptitude for developing or refining complex accounting procedures, methods, or techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Mandarin
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
