Description

Innotec, a unique and fully automated West Michigan manufacturer of products for automotive, furniture, and appliance 

industries is selectively seeking an Optics Molding Engineer with processing expertise. Successful candidates will have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment based on trust and integrity and have an interest in a hands-on approach to business. Interested applicants should have a passion for manufacturing and innovation as well as a desire for a broad scope of daily responsibilities. In addition to these qualities, we are looking for someone with the following characteristics and qualifications:   

Characteristics:

• Experienced in molding precision optics - able to primarily mold the optics to prints/specs    
• Education and experience specifically in polymer imaging optics (projection, camera lensing, etc)    
• Ability to optimize and troubleshoot processing, tooling, materials and equipment     
• Understanding of optics design requirements, process capability, metrology methods is required    
• A very hands on approach required - a person who understands the theory but wants to 'dive in'.    
• Strong project management and multitasking skills        
• Demonstrated innovation and ingenuity         
• Perpetual drive towards learning, developing and growing       
• Solid communication skills          
• True team-player, as everyone at Innotec is involved in making big decisions  

Requirements

Qualifications:  

• A Bachelor's degree in Plastics Molding                  
• 3+ years experience in optics molding; scientific molding preferred
• Optics system design preferred                 
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder                
• Manufacturing experience is a plus!
