Purpose: Five Star Bank is seeking an Associate System Analyst that will support the delivery, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of the Jack Henry Core Banking platform across multiple business lines including retail, commercial, operations, and marketing. This position executes basic system maintenance and support related to the organization’s critical platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Support: Provide first-level support for business users on system-related issues, escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Testing: Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on the Jack Henry Core Banking platform.
- Implementation and Configuration Support: Help triage incoming requests to the Systems Analyst team, assess priority and complexity, and route appropriately. Deliver realistic expectations in accordance with department SLAs to requestors.
- Defect Management: Log, track, and validate defects and issues through resolution.
- Upgrade and Deployment Support: Support the execution of platform upgrades, integrations, and patch deployments in coordination with IT, vendors, and operational teams.
- Governance: Ensure all platform changes comply with internal governance, security, and data integrity standards.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
- Five Star Bank Culture: Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders.
Job Related Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Prior Experience: 1+ year of hands-on experience in systems maintenance, operations or quality assurance role, preferably in financial services and/or core banking systems. Jack Henry Core Banking experience preferred.
Competencies:
- Familiarity with Jack Henry platforms (e.g., SilverLake, Symitar, jXchange, Banno) is highly preferred.
- Skilled in providing first-level support and escalating complex issues.
- Exposure to banking operations, compliance, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Efficiency in preparing presentations, summary reports, and visualizations.
- Ability to work effectively with business analysts, project leads, and other team members.
- Commitment to delivering realistic expectations and maintaining department SLAs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably financial services or banking.
