JOB TITLE: Revenue Analyst (Must be 21 years of age or older)

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: Controller

SALARY: Grade 23

                        Range Starts: $55,286.40/annually

                        Range Ends: $82,929.60/annually

 

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

 SUPERVISES: None

 JOB SUMMARY: This team member performs revenue analysis to ensure the accuracy of all revenue reporting and data used for analytical 

purposes and maintains associated records used in the daily revenue audit and reconciliation process.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:

 

  1. Trains Accounting Specialists in gaming and hospitality audits.
  2. Reviews and updates SOP’s relevant to all revenue audit functions.
  3. Reviews all revenue audit team reconciliations and journal entries for posting into the accounting system; investigates discrepancies in a timely manner.
  4. Reviews all revenue audit related tracking spreadsheets to ensure reporting fields are updated to reflect the current status of all gaming related information.
  5. Assist in covering all revenue audits whenever accounting specialists are in need
  6. Coordinates all slot machine movements, removals and installations; ensures all required documentation is complete, accurate and appropriately filed.
  7. Reviews all gaming area contracts for accuracy and creates new games within Oasis and PitBoss.
  8. Creates and provides gaming departments with analysis reports as needed to assist with improvements on the gaming floor.
  9. Prepares year-end adjustments as needed for multigame/multi-denomination machine and addresses any audit requirements; makes adjustments to slot files as appropriate.
  10. Tracks all multi-denomination game variances and documents findings and explanations for NIGC and audit related regulations. Prepares year-end audit adjustment and makes sure slot files are updated with relevant information.
  11. Analyzes and verifies the slot machine par percentages as requested by the CFO or Gaming Management.  
  12. Prepares documentation and provides assistance to external regulatory auditors for annual and semi-annual MICS audits as well, including the CGCC state audits.
  13. Assists Gaming Commission with MICS audits and provides documentation as requested.
  14. Assist slot supervisors when needed with any questions related to jackpots and tax
  15. Maintains all records and files for gaming related W-2G and 1099. tracking, reconciliation, and annual submission to the Internal Revenue Service.
  16. Preparation of Win/Loss Statements and copies of tax forms for guests as they are requested.
  17. Month-end journal entry researching of any/all variances for accuracy.
  18. Ensures all progressive tracking is accurate and within TIC’s requirements, including updating the Daily Progressive Log Template for the slot department.
  19. Maintains and reconciles Gift Certificate Excel liability tracking log, using SuperPlaymate and InfoGenesis programs monthly.
  20. Prepares monthly revenue reconciliation for all revenue generating centers.
  21. Prepares monthly reconciliation of participation accrual and progressive jackpot accrual.
  22. Performs semi-annual chip audit and reconciliation to the general ledger.
  23. Works with Table Game and Cage & Count Managers to verify incoming new chips and verify the destruction of damaged chips.
  24. Prepares monthly invoice tracking for slot purchases.
  25. Performs analysis for CFO as requested.
  26. Prepares and reviews weekly revenue forecast report for General Manager.
  27. Prepares monthly Minimum Bankroll Calculation per NIGC regulations.
  28. Work with Regulatory Compliance on compliance issues.
  29. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program.
  30. Other duties as needed and assigned by the Controller, CFO and Assistant Controller.

 


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, marketing or business administration is preferred.


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A strong financial and analytical abilities, along with a strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the organization is required.
  • Experience with all functions of a professional office, involving clerical and administrative performance in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently is required.
  • A  working knowledge of departmental policies and procedures is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to query local databases is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of all revenue audit processes is required.
  • The ability to process data into usable analytical form to draw conclusions based on relevant assumptions is required.

 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuously sits.
  • Occasionally stands, walks, bends/stoops, climbs, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to twenty-five (25) pounds is required.
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required.

  • This position may require availability during non-regularly scheduled hours to assist with any audit issues via telephone.  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member may occasionally be subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.
