POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial analysis. Your primary responsibilities will include processing of AR & AP invoices, vendor and customer payments, and collections. Your position is an important part of the Accounting Department, you will have the opportunity to assist with special projects and tasks that fit your skillset. As our organization grows, so will you.
Bachelor degree level courses in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field is preferred. Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Entry of Accounts Payable Invoices, secure approvals to pay, process payments, match to supporting documentation and file.
- Review and maintain A/P aging.
- Complete Credit References.
- Respond timely to Vendor and Customers inquires
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors
- Collect and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Provide reports to Management staff
- Assist with accounting spreadsheets
- Answer and direct phone calls as needed
- Cross train within the team
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Minimum Experience and/or Education Required:
- Completed or in process Bachelor degree level courses in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (preferred)
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Proficiency with Excel required)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Skills in data analysis and problem solving
- Ability to effectively present information to all levels of employees and managers
- 3-5 Years of accounting experience
