Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders.  PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Dietary Aide position involves assisting with food prep and service, cleaning, putting-away stock, and helping to maintain refrigeration and storage areas. Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchens and dining rooms. Assists cook in preparation and serving of food.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• One year experience of food preparation, kitchen skills and food service preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of simple food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of first in-first out rotation method used in kitchens.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitization methods.
• Ability to put up stock and maintain dry and refrigerated storage areas.
• Ability to use various types of food preparation equipment.
• Ability to wash and sterilize pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
• Capable of climbing a ladder or step stool and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision (corrected or uncorrected). Ability to stand for long periods of time.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass a level II background check and drug screen.

Must have a valid driver's license or state identification card.
