Duties & Responsibilities
DigiFlight, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Apache Helicopter Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) Maintainer to support the
Apache Attack Helicopter Project Office (AAH PO). A successful candidate will work independently to manage the
functional, personnel, and financial aspects of logistics issues regarding the LCT, Maintainer Training Devices (MTD)
and part task trainers, fielded AH-64 TADSS, and TADSS unique to Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The candidate will
provide input, advice and recommendations to software/hardware training device Integrated Product Teams,
Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, In-Progress Reviews, Technical Reviews, System
Requirements Reviews, System Design Reviews and Trainer Requirements Reviews. The candidate provides technical
support to the AAH PO and assists the AAH Project Manager (PM) by providing technical/configuration assistance in
the analysis, functionality, storage, inspection, and training for technology insertion into the Apache Longbow Attack
helicopter program. The candidate develops/supports training aides and devices, system and computer resource
training and end-user training meeting AH-64D/E requirements and specifications. They perform comparative analysis
of different candidate systems, subsystems and configurations to determine performance or airframe similarities as
defined by requirements for current and future AH-64 components/systems. The successful candidate assists Project
Office personnel in the design, development, modification, operation, and updating computer hardware, software, and
peripherals for the Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT). They support the technical evaluation of Apache training systems
offered by primes and other contractors and makes recommendations on reasonableness of design and aircraft
similarities. The candidate will provide technical expertise recommendations for new equipment training system
operations, and user publications. Project integrator for Generation 5 LCTs to UMS, UAV or ATA devices. The
candidate attends program/project reviews, design reviews, and fielding meetings as required, provides briefings,
training, and support as directed in the utilization and operation of AAH training devices. The candidate will evaluate
Windchill contract deliverable for errors and provide a Contractor Letter for approval/disapprovals. Travel is estimated
at 50% to CONUS and OCONUS sites as required by the contract.
Minimum Experience
Experience with Apache simulations is required. Knowledge of Apache original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
Contractor/Subcontractor responsibilities and subcontract management is desired.
Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to establish and maintain close relationships with internal AAH PMO personnel, as well as external organizations and stakeholders, is essential. Candidates must have capability to clearly express ideas/concepts verbally and in writing, perform as part of multi-disciplinary teams/IPTs/Working Groups, and operate fluidly in a multi-tasking environment. Expert knowledge of the roles, missions, and requirements of Army aviation, and familiarity with aviation platform specifications, system safety concepts, unique military modifications, and aircraft configuration management are strongly desired.
Required Skills
1. Possess a minimum of SECRET clearance.
2. US Citizen with the ability to obtain a valid US Passport. (with no travel/country restrictions)
3. Valid US Driver’s License and able to obtain an International Drivers Permit.
4. Be available for travel up to 50% of the time with surges of 75% depending on mission requirements.
5. Able to manage logistics as well as physically move equipment up to 60lbs in support of mission requirements.
6. A general/working knowledge of MS Office products is required, and the selected individual should have at least a basic knowledge of the courseware development and review process.
7. High School Diploma or equivalent.
