Certified Pharmacy Technician, Mohegan Pharmacy na Mohegan Tribe

Summary of Job Description: 

Incumbent assists Pharmacists in dispensing prescription medication to customers in accordance with professional standards and regulatory entities.  

Minimum Requirements: 

• Knowledge of and ability to apply retail and pharmaceutical practices and procedures
• Familiarity with relevant state and federal pharmaceutical laws and regulations 
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills (including phones) and ability to work in a team-based environment
• Familiarity with pharmacy computer databases and registers; ability to accurately enter and retrieve data; ability to manipulate data to produce reports
• Working knowledge of basic pharmaceutical calculations used to obtain correct doses of medication
• High school diploma or equivalent
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
• Must have and maintain an active and in good standing Connecticut Technician Registration or apply for it within 7 days of hire 
• Must successfully pass pre-employment requirements and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy
• Ability to perform essential duties with physical demands including frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing and bending 
• No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
