- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities for company-owned, UPS-owned, and non-company-owned trailers.
- Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) schedules are followed, repairs are completed promptly, and trailers meet DOT and company compliance standards.
- Review maintenance records, invoices, and work orders for accuracy and cost control.
- Monitor repair timelines and escalate delays to minimize downtime and disruption to customer operations.
- Manage ongoing communication with Premier branch teams and National Account Operations.
- Serve as the primary maintenance liaison for UPS and other key customers, ensuring service commitments and expectations are consistently met.
- Partner with approved vendors and service providers to ensure quality, cost-effective trailer repairs and maintenance.
- Resolve escalated maintenance issues, disputes, or service failures quickly and professionally.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding trailer status, maintenance updates, and service timelines.
- Supervise maintenance specialist and vendor support personnel.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure team alignment with company goals.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure trailers comply with DOT, FHWA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for audits and customer reporting.
- Analyze maintenance trends and costs; recommend strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Generate and present reports on trailer availability, downtime, vendor performance, and maintenance KPIs.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence and motivate.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control and vendor invoice validation.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, equipment leasing, or transportation operations.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of trailer equipment, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance strongly preferred.
- Experience working with large enterprise customers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) a plus.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems, vendor portals, and Microsoft Office Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
