Job Summary

The job of Student Records Specialist ensures accurate attendance accounting and student records support for programs operated by Baldy View ROP (BVROP); provides general clerical support, information and/or direction as may be assigned; resolves attendance related issues; ensures compliance with state reporting and documenting requirements; and conveys attendance and student enrollment related information to appropriate parties. Incumbents of this classification perform a wide variety of moderately difficult information retrieval, retention and analysis tasks connected with processing, organizing and maintaining requests for attendance and records information services to customers. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience working with an educational student attendance system. Or - Associate degree or equivalent, supplemented by college-level course work in business administration or closely related field and Five (5) years of experience working with student records, attendance and/or registration performing complex technical functions. Experience working with an educational student attendance system. Or – Seven (7) years of experience working with student records, attendance and/or registration performing complex technical functions. Experience working with an educational student attendance system. DESIRABLE: Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration or closely related field. Experience working in an ROP JPA, school district or county office. Valid California Class C Driver’s License required and ability to maintain insurability status under Baldy View ROP vehicle insurance policy.

Salary Info

Additional Salary Information: Up to $7545 with longevity; education stipend available; $2,250/month towards health and welfare benefits package.
