ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Materials Control Specialist to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Greenville, SC.
Responsibilities
Identifying material requirements and preparation of detail material take-offs from drawings where standards, methods, practices, and instructions are not clearly defined or are in the developmental stage.
Superving a small contract or several small units within a contract or may be required to direct certain activities in a lead role.
Providing procurement support and expediting in conformance with project requirements
Monitoring and learning the intricacies of material contingencies, logistics analysis, and material management functions
Interfacing with internal/external clients and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of material controls activities; when requested, provide written/verbal communications with internal and external clients
Developing logistics and related procedures with Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, and Project to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the job site
Assisting field forces during construction, if required monitor material receivables at the job site and at the fabrication shop
Interpreting pipingand instrumentation diagram(P&ID),other discipline drawings, and manufacturer's catalog data
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed
Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work
Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
Possess in-depth knowledge of materials as well as their importance to the overall Material Controls effort
Understandmaterialcontingencies,logisticsanalysis,andmaterialmanagementfunctions
Materials Control experience in any of the following catagories Piping/Plumbing, Electrical, I&C, CSA/FP, HVAC/Mechanical.
