Responsibilities
- Contribute to new spacecraft avionics architecture trades
- Develop circuit boards for spacecraft, with an emphasis on digital
- electronics
- Perform rigorous analyses and simulations of avionics devices and systems
- Perform development testing of hardware in the lab, from a single circuit
- board to an entire system including non-avionics elements
- Own hardware through qualification and flight operations
- Establish and maintain high technical standards and mentor less
- experienced engineers
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4+ years professional experience designing digital electronics for rockets,
- spacecraft, or other vehicles
- Proficiency with electronics component selection, analysis, simulation,
- schematics, and layout
- Knowledge of digital circuit design concepts including signal integrity,
- timing, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics problems at the board level or
- system level
- Desire to improve team processes and train other team members
- Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve
- concerns
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Experience doing new development work for any of the following:
- processors, FPGAs, DSPs, cameras, ethernet switches, or any other
- specialized area relevant to spacecraft or rockets
- Experience designing high speed digital interfaces such as DDR4/5, PCIe,
- RGMII/SGMII, Ethernet
- Experience in a startup or agile development environment

- Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
