Position: Entertainment Coordinator. Wage: $18.92/Hour, Negotiable. Location: Gaming Division. Reports to: Director of Marketing
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all phases of entertainment including booking talent, managing and securing outside agencies, completion of contracts using in-house tribal procedures, and following all items called for in the contracts, as approved by appropriate management.
- Plan and coordinate all contract and rider logistics, including but not limited to transportation, housing, meals, catering and hospitality, per diems, green room and dressing room requirements.
- Must be able to advance show logistics in a complete and timely manner and see these arrangements through the engagement.
- Make all travel (long distance and local) and make room arrangements as needed. Meet artists arrival personally, travel to airports and other locations to pick up artists or entourages, if needed.
- Work closely with accounting to ensure payment to artists as per contract.
- Track and document show departmental expenses monthly.
- Work closely with Marketing Staff, Food & Beverage, Security and other related departments, to coordinate production and personnel schedules for special events. Inform all personnel of new in-house advertisement of upcoming events. Direct staff accordingly to ensure smooth operations.
- Knowledge of Hotel Operations, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Security and Transportation to better communicate artist’s needs.
- Assist in marketing operational activities as needed.
- Attend headliner and mid-level entertainment events.
- Complete and submit to the Director of Marketing for approval all purchase requisitions to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
- Complete all production contracts and decide as necessary.
- Responsible for keeping entertainment schedule updated and distributed to local businesses, tribal businesses and posting in local chambers of commerce, local lodging facilities and other places, as necessary.
- Responsible for creating and distributing entertainment information to manage upcoming events.
- Responsible for submitting, recommending and monitoring budget costs regarding entertainment.
- Responsible for coordinating entertainment for special hosted events with other departments within North Star Mohican Casino Resort to ensure successful fulfillment of objective.
- Must provide monthly detailed reports to the Director of Marketing of functions accomplished in areas of responsibility.
- Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Marketing Department.
- Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
- Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including and not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communications from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
- Track and document show departmental expenses monthly.
- Adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Perform any other assigned duties

- Must demonstrate experience in adherence to budget or financial experience.
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, be willing to travel and have insured transportation. Must meet the insurability guidelines of Mohican Nation Insurance.
- Must be able to always maintain a professional attitude.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
Work Conditions
- Must Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands frequently.
- Associate degree or combination of experience and education.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity (close, distance, peripheral, color vision, depth perception).
- Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment.
- The work environment is non-smoking, and dust and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.
