Role Description

Donson is looking for a person that can join our planning team to assist with daily machine scheduling, and larger project planning. We are looking for someone that has ERP experience OR is computer savvy and looking to learn and progress in a manufacturing company. The parts we make for medical and aerospace customers involve several operations, machines, and people…. And the careful planning of these projects is crucial to hitting customer deadlines. This person will work with and learn under our head planner and support them in a variety of ways. 

Responsibilities

• Incrementally build skill level using Epicor ERP system so you can better understand our data and support higher level tasks.
• Daily scheduling of new POs coming in. 
• Working with several cnc machine department leads to schedule and shuffle jobs.
• Work to understand capabilities of each cnc machining department, so you can provide suggestions and insight into how we can fit in new projects. 
• Work with customers to provide lead time information, job status updates, and insight into our company capacity. 
• Work with the larger team to find ways the company can improve. How to hit deadlines more consistently, how to improve the flow on the shop floor, and how to move jobs as efficiently as possible with as little manual handling as possible.
• Any other tasks or projects that come up. 

Requirements

Requirements

• High School degree or something similar. 
• High skill level within Microsoft excel. Must understand how to create and manipulate large data sets, pivot tables, etc.
• Must be hungry to learn and progress. We are not looking for someone to come in and complete tasks and leave. We are looking for someone that wants to learn and grow their own skill level, while simultaneously progressing the company. 

Nice to Haves

• Experience planning/scheduling at a manufacturing company
• Experience with an ERP system
• Experience with Epicor.
