POSITION DETAILS
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing activities, planning, forecasting, and meeting the overall supply needs of the production schedule.  Tracks purchases, monitors inventory levels, ensures supplier quality and on-time delivery. Assists Material Planner in building and maintaining productive relationships with suppliers. The Buyer is based out of our Johnstown Studio with flexibility for remote work options. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review sales orders, forecasts, and inventory agreements to determine material requirements.
  • Create and manage purchase orders to suppliers and production work orders for internal manufacturing.
  • Track open orders, prioritize requests, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, production, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain accurate records of material requirements, order status, and inventory levels.
  • Identify gaps or risks in material availability and escalate proactively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning and procurement processes.
  • Utilize NetSuite for planning, scheduling, and reporting.


  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in purchasing or material planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems. Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and follow up.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel to the Killbuck Manufacturing Campus as needed.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    The essential functions of this position require the team member to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time. This position requires the repetitive movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingers to operate standard office equipment. The team member may occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 20 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and must be able to exchange information in these situations. The work environment characteristics requires the team member the ability to tolerate moderate noise.
