THE ROLE |
The Product Analysis and Customer Support (PACS) team provides
expert-level support to clients using Temenos products, including those in the
implementation phase as well as live customers. PACS manages all client support
requests, ensuring seamless product experience and client satisfaction.
MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) is required to support our
Production SQL server DB and Core instances in support model. The SQL server
DBA will be responsible for performance tuning, administrating, monitoring,
troubleshooting performance issues, recovering the database from any critical
state of the SQL server databases. Would be responsible for reviewing
application/databases, identify performance bottlenecks and fixing Work shifts applicability : Work Shifts: Work Shifts on
Rotation applicable (Work from office – 3 days from office and 2 days from
home) |

OPPORTUNITIES |
- Production support on any critical DB issues, DB backup, Restore
and Disaster recovery
- Evaluate and analyze custom SQL server programs/T-SQLs for high
performance issues
- Create SQL objects like Tables, Views, Indexes, Stored Procedures,
Triggers, Rules, Defaults and user defined functions. This role requires strong
expertise in advance query concepts that includes Dynamic SQL scripting,
Recursive CTE and Partitioning management
- Perform all advance SQL server concepts (Performance Tuning,
Larger subqueries, JOINS, PerfMon tooling)
- Analyze, tune & test identified top 30 programs, integrations
and reports based on current CPU, I/O & throughput utilization and
implement best practices recommended by SQL server for improved performance
- Proficient in tuning T-SQL queries using SQL server profiler,
Execution Plan, Performance Monitor, DBCC Commands, Database Tuning Advisor,
Index Fragmentation techniques to improve the database performance and ensure
high availability
- Document improvement in the SQL level metrics CPU, I/O requests,
throughput, Files and File-groups to a desirable level
- Report trace files comparison for the required parameters before
and after the optimization for the improvement of statistics
- Analysis on trace files, identify problem queries, I/O, Waits,
Correlated sub queries and Parameters validation
- Tune the queries and use Materialized or temp tables if required,
Re-write the logic for better performance if required
- Replace Correlated sub queries, reducing Loop Overhead for DML
Statements and Queries
- Writing Computation-Intensive Programs in T-SQL & Monitor SQL
Performance and IO

SKILLS |
- BE/Btech candidate with 7 to 9 years
of experience as SQL server DBA
- Experience in database backup & restore
activities and HA configuration
- Working in 24/7 critical environment
- Using Microsoft SQL server tools like SSMS
and BI tools
- Knowledge on T-SQL Development & Azure
SQL Development
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
- Nice to have: Microsoft SQL server certified & Skills on Linux/Unix or any other
