An established, progressive and growing company is looking for a Regional Managersupporting Southwest Minnesota and Eastern South Dakota area to be responsible for the performance of assigned automotive parts stores. This includes achieving budgeted revenue goals, monitoring expenses, working with Store Managers, Associates and Corporate Management to drive sales, ensuring high levels of customer service, solving problems and achieving employee development goals.   

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Create a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service and drives sales
  • Build customer relationships and employee engagement 
  • Prioritizes and plan work activities for self and store managers as applicable
  • Support store managers with recruitment efforts, selecting, orienting, and training employees 
  • Coach and counsel employees
  • Plan and monitor job performance; build motivation and commitment by utilizing the performance review system
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of store operation results 
  • Ensures audit controls are followed to protect the company from unnecessary risk and exposure
  • Establish and maintain proper expense controls in order to stay within budget and explain any significant variances
  • Ensures safety, health, and security policies are practiced and in place
  • Perform various store duties on an as needed basis  

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of experience managing in a retail/wholesale environment with at least 10 employees leading and directing the work of others
  • Ability to develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills 
  • Working knowledge of various computer software including Microsoft Suite. 
  • Significant travel in the region required with occasional visits to the corporate office

 

Preferred Experience:  Bachelors or Associate degree in general business, marketing, finance, or sales and 5 years of experience in the auto parts business and store operations
