What is my role?
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive strategic customer outcomes, focusing on innovation, and new capabilities. This role involves overseeing multiple projects that deliver complex, cross-functional business solutions, with a focus on customer success. You will manage the full project lifecycle, collaborating with leadership, customers, and internal teams to implement value-added services, enhanced integration, and new capabilities. Your work will be integral in scaling customer solutions to meet evolving needs while ensuring customer satisfaction and the successful execution of initiatives.
This position will require you to perform tasks as well as own tasks related to certain processes and functions. This is a new role for our organization and to create seamless solutions, you will need to immerse yourself in other cross functional departmental roles to fully understand needs and/or blind spots. As we build this role, responsibilities and focus could adjust.

Customer-Centric Initiatives
- Enhanced Integrations: Lead the planning and execution of projects that integrate customer needs with internal platforms and potential external platforms. Ensure seamless service delivery and improved operational efficiency across teams.
- Value-Added Services: Identify and implement new services that align with customer goals.
- New Capabilities Development: Manage projects that develop and implement new capabilities and services. Ensure new capabilities are integrated smoothly into existing systems and workflows.
Project Leadership & Execution
- Strategic Partnering: Serve as a point of contact for customers, driving the evolution of the program’s value proposition and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Customer Onboarding: Oversee customer onboarding and ensure gained alignment throughout cross functional leadership.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (IT, operations, logistics, etc.) to ensure the smooth execution of customer-centric projects and initiatives.
Project Governance & Risk Management
- Process & System Changes: Manage project changes based on evolving customer needs, ensuring new systems and processes are integrated effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, customers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication, aligned goals, and efficient issue resolution.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs and project metrics to ensure goals are met, risks are identified early, and necessary adjustments are made in a timely manner.
- Governance Framework: Establish and maintain clear project governance to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive Risk Management: Identify potential project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that may impact customer success.
- Escalation & Resolution: Lead the escalation process for any issues that arise, ensuring quick resolutions and minimal disruption to the project or customer satisfaction.
- Project Management Experience: Proven success in managing complex, cross-functional projects that drive customer success and operational improvements.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Experience in managing customer-facing projects, particularly in areas like onboarding, integration, and new service offerings.
- Strategic Initiative Management: Experience leading strategic customer initiatives, value-added services, and developing new capabilities.
- Integration & Technology Solutions: Knowledge of integrating and developing technology solutions that enhance customer relationships and drive growth.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to collaborate across sales, IT, operations, and customer-facing teams to execute successful projects.
- Process Optimization: Proven experience in improving processes, automating workflows, and driving continuous optimization.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong ability to analyze performance data and leverage insights to optimize project outcomes.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Excel, including the ability to manage data, create simple formulas, use basic functions (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, COUNTIF), and create basic reports and charts to support decision-making.
- ERP & Systems Expertise: Familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g., AS400, VPS), SCM, WMS, and similar systems.
- Problem Solving & Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects stay on track and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP, Agile, or other relevant certifications in project management.
- Global Business Experience: Experience managing customer projects with global reach, particularly in supply chain management, integrations, and service development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP platform (AS400/VPS), WMS (CIMS), PLM/SCM (Infor Nexus), or similar multi-enterprise business solutions. Helpful but not a deal breaker.
