Position Summary
Samsung SDS America is actively seeking an experienced SAP SD/LE Solutions Consultant to liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams in both the U.S. and South Korea. This role will be instrumental in gathering and documenting requirements and reporting, as well as managing projects to change configuration and modify programs within SAP SD and LE modules.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyze existing business process to gather and document requirements related to sales, pricing, shipping, billing, logistics, and reporting within SAP SD and LE Module as well integration with other SAP modules like Material Management and Finance.
- Translating business needs into functional solutions within SAP and connected satellite systems.
- Designing new and enhancing existing business processes, creating functional specifications.
- Determining project requirements and developing project schedules for the team; coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors for successful project delivery.
- Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams in the US and South Korea.
- Developing test plans and executing various testing phases, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Providing day-to-day application support to users, troubleshooting technical and data issues, and delivering training.
- Identifying opportunities to improve business processes, driving SAP best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep management informed with regular progress reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years direct experience with SAP SD and LE modules; other modules (e.g. MM, BI) helpful.
- Experience with databases/SQL, Python/VBscript or similar, managing large data in MS Excel.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written communication skills including business and functional requirements, management level presentations and proposals presentation.
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills, in addition to the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and drive consensus with key constituents.
- Willingness to build professional relationships with clients and peers in Korea.
- Must be eligible to work in the US on any employer without restrictions.
- Must be able to work in office 5 days a week.
- SAP certification in SD and LE modules, and ABAP experience are a plus.
