Description

Join a Sweet Team with a Legacy of Craftsmanship
At Piedmont Candy Company, we’ve been creating quality confections since 1890 — and we’re still growing strong. We're currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team and help keep our manufacturing equipment running smoothly and efficiently.

If you have strong electro-mechanical maintenance skills, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of a supportive, safety-focused team, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Tech II, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our equipment operates at its best. You’ll take on both advanced and routine maintenance tasks — with the autonomy to handle issues and the support to escalate when needed. This role includes:

  • Performing advanced preventive maintenance on production equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and electrical systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Welding, burning, and soldering as needed
  • Supporting and mentoring junior technicians
  • Participating in safety training and championing a safe work environment
  • Working flexible hours (including weekends) based on production needs

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience (or 4+ years with a relevant associate degree)
  • Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following:
    • PLC/Electrical Systems
    • Fabrication
    • Pneumatics
    • Servo Motors
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities — mechanical, electrical, or process control
  • Experience with motor control methods and PLCs
  • Ability to read schematics, create basic diagrams, and follow detailed instructions
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and web-based tools
  • Solid communication and time management skills

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance engineering technology preferred

What We Offer

  • Paid vacation — we believe in rest and recharge
  • Perfect attendance bonus — because showing up matters
  • Medical, dental & vision insurance — your health comes first
  • 401(k) — invest in your future
  • A team-oriented environment where your skills are valued and your voice is heard

Work where tradition meets innovation.
Come be part of something sweet — literally and figuratively. At Piedmont Candy Co., we care about our products, our people, and our purpose.

Piedmont Candy is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
