Always Compassionate Home Care, (ACHC) is a fast-growing home care agency with its main office located in Melville Long Island. We provide the highest quality of home based home health and skilled nursing services in NYC, Nassau, Suffolk, Mid-Hudson and Rochester regions.

 

Summary:

ACHC is looking to hire an exceptional applicant who will work with a dedicated team in achieving the company’s growth and expansion goals. An exciting and rewarding career awaits you at ACHC. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records. Duties include compliance with GAAP, reconciling bank statements, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, accurate and timely payments of expenses to vendors and employees and providing customer service in the form of information and support to the entities you directly service.

 

Responsibilities:

Accounting

· Aide in preparation of financial statements.

· Prepare and file tax returns.

· Enter journal entries in the GL system.

· Maintain accurate account books.

· Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

· Perform monthly bank settlements and reconciliations.

· Prepare documentation for external audits.

Accounts Payable

· Inputs approved documents into accounts payable system to ensure timely payment of all invoices.

· Processes wire and check payments:

· Verify to invoice

· ACH/Mail payments

· Scan copies into AP system.

· Communication with vendors regarding correspondences on payment status.

· Maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking various financial activities.

· Records disbursements and creates journal entries.

 

Qualifications:

· College degree with major in Accounting

· Minimum of one to two year of experience

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel specifically Pivot Tables and VLookups.

· Experienced with Microsoft Office 365.

· Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

· Professional communication and organization skills.

· High level of attention to detail.

· Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
