Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor na Burcham Hills

Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the backyard of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. We currently have a vacancy for an Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor to work a Full-Time schedule. In this position an Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the environmental services (EVS) team, including the housekeeping and laundry and in addition to but not limited to the following duties:

• Oversee developed preventative environmental services programs, including infection control. Ensure work being completed by EVS staff are in compliance with local, state and federal codes, MSDS, OSHA, etc.
• Weekly documented audits will be required for the community which includes outdoor walk ways and patios.
• Maintain inventory control for all general supplies, parts and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Respond appropriately to resident or community emergencies or concerns by assisting as needed.
• Act as liaison between admissions team, social work team, and housekeeping team facilitating efficient communication to ensure that all rooms and suites are ready for new welcoming�s, and that all rooms and suites have a proper turnaround time following transitions.
• Provide instructions to housekeeping and laundry team as needed to ensure standards are being maintained and all assignments are being completed on time.
• Create and update daily schedules for housekeeping and laundry teams, including finding coverage for call-ins or scheduling conflicts.
• May be required to fill in as a housekeeper or laundry aide as needed.

Qualifications: A minimum of three to five years of experience and/or training in housekeeping and/or laundry. Possesses leadership ability and willingness to work with professional and non-professional personnel. Ability to work extended or flexible hours, as necessary, and work on-call shifts according to Department protocol. Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend written and oral instructions in English effectively.
