IT Help Desk Technician

SafetyCall International (SCI) is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team! This is a full-time (40 hours/week) opportunity to put your skills and knowledge to work in an engaging and rewarding work environment.

Position Information:

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to company computer systems, both hardware and software programs, and telecom system. The IT Help Desk Technician responds promptly to queries from SafetyCall (SCI) employees, vendors and clients and interfaces with telecom, software developers and IT vendors to isolate problems and determine and implement solutions for both employees and clients. This position works closely with the implementation team, Director of IT and CIO to set up new employees and clients in all systems as well as modify functionality in all systems for clients. The IT Help Desk Technician is expected to perform duties by the mission, vision, values and principles of SCI in order to support and advance the company.

  1. Provide technical assistance and support including identifying, researching and resolving technical problems for incoming queries from SCI employees, vendors and clients for incoming issues related to computer hardware/software and telecom systems.
  2. Act as part of interface team between SCI and all IT, software and telecom vendors.
  3. Set up new users in telecom system and case management software systems.
  4. Collaborate with telecom vendor, IT vendor and software developer to set up new clients.
  5. Collaborate with vendors to maintain daily performance of computer and telecom systems.
  6. Respond promptly to phone calls, emails and chat messages from SCI employees, clients and vendors seeking assistance.
  7. Follow up promptly with SCI employees, clients and vendors to ensure issues have been resolved.
  8. Assist in computer and telecom user training sessions as assigned.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has either a minimum associate degree in an IT related area OR equivalent knowledge/work experience with IT certifications. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with telecom system set ups is also required with a strong preference towards Genesys Hosted CX solutions. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work well with various members of the team and who takes a proactive approach to problem solving and completing tasks in an ethical, efficient and effective manner.

Schedule & Location:

Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts that will vary slightly between 10am-7pm CST. Participation in the on-call working rotation is also required every 3 weeks. Candidates who are within 45 miles of our Bloomington home office will be required to report to the home office 1-2 days/week.
