Arid Solutions Nursery is a growing wholesale plant nursery that produces and distributes container-grown plants from our facility located in Phoenix, Arizona.  We have approximately 30 acres of ground growing and green houses. We are committed to providing our customers with high quality plant material and great customer service.

 

Job Description:

WHO IS THIS PERSON

"Early morning driven people person," punctuality, self-motivation, reliability, and attention to detail during early hours and throughout the day while working enthusiastically with customers. Must have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity under pressure. We are interviewing self-starters who, once trained, will not need to be micro-managed and will be great with customers, counter sales, answer phones and assist with all other general office duties.   This position will support all office and sales personnel and will be willing to grow with the company.

PERSONABLE

This person relates well and easily with all people, creating a positive customer experience, building rapport, and resolving issues effectively. A good communicator, he/she varies communication strategies depending upon the person and/or the situation. Effective verbally and in writing, this person is an active listener who can multitask. This person has a healthy amount of humility and team-player attitude such that no work is “beneath them” or “not in the job description”. He/she is always willing to “pitch in” and “help out” in any way to benefit the company.

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Experience in a nursery environment or be able to demonstrate plant knowledge 
  • A desire to learn is a must about plants!
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills, is outgoing with a friendly personality
  • Able to work sitting, standing, bending, moving, throughout the day
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be Proficient with QuickBooks or other accounting software solutions (AGS, MAS-90, Peachtree, etc.)
  • Proficient in Social Media platforms
  • English/Spanish speaking & writing

 

Duties

  1. Greet Customers, take orders, coordinate with field staff to pull orders for pick up and deliveries and process counter sales and payments
  2. Answer direct phone calls.
  3. Assist office personnel with daily office duties, including but not limited to, filing, scanning and data entry.
  4. Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
  5. Social Media Marketing
  6. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  7. Keep office supplies organized and stocked

 

COMPENSATION

$17 Depending on experience
