Hybrid Preschool Teacher and Enrichment Coordinator (Full-Time) na Rockford Area Schools

Position Summary:
This full-time position combines the responsibilities of a preschool teacher in the Launching Pad Preschool with the role of Enrichment Coordinator for youth and adult programs within the district. The position provides the opportunity to teach young children while also planning, coordinating, and enhancing enrichment programming for the broader community.

As a preschool teacher, the candidate will develop, implement, and instruct developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences for children ages 3 to 5 years. They will manage the classroom effectively, foster a warm and welcoming environment, and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. The teacher will demonstrate knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education. Familiarity with Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment, or a Reggio-Inspired approach is preferred.

As an Enrichment Coordinator, the candidate will work closely with the Early Childhood and Childcare Coordinator, as well as the Community Education Director, to plan, coordinate, and enhance youth and adult enrichment programs within the district. This includes supporting and improving existing programming and identifying opportunities to expand offerings to better serve the community and meet district goals. The coordinator will assist with program logistics, work with vendors and program providers, and help ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality enrichment opportunities.

This unique full-time position allows a candidate to make a meaningful impact on both early childhood education and community enrichment programs, contributing to the growth and success of the district.

Hours: Preschool teaching is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m., with Enrichment Coordinator hours scheduled after teaching duties with flexibility. This position runs late August to early June.
