   Now Hiring: Patient Navigator – Orthopedic Institute
Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Orthopedic Institute is seeking a Patient Navigator to join our team!  The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and communicated to relevant parties.


What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate scheduling of advanced      imaging, surgeries and procedures in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with      patients, surgeons, and medical staff regarding scheduling details
  • Verify insurance information and      obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
  • Work closely with the Authorization      team to ensure approvals are secured and timely
  • Partner with billing and coding      staff on self-pay, ABNs, and financial requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date      records of scheduled surgeries and patient information
  • Collaborate with healthcare      providers to optimize scheduling efficiency
  • Address any scheduling conflicts or      issues that may arise
  • Provide exceptional customer      service to patients and their families
  • Communicate with patients to answer      questions and provide pre/post-surgical instructions

  • Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
  • Reports to: Patient Navigator &  Authorization Supervisor

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED   required; administrative or medical office experience required –  prior surgery or procedure scheduling strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Compassionate demeanor with  patients and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting
