POSITION SUMMARY

As a trusted resource for co-workers, the Database, Systems and Network Manager will work to build, maintain, and secure the IT infrastructure that powers Odell Brewing Company's business systems, as well as provide support and training to co-workers to get the most from our technology. This position will work on-site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Database Management and Programming

  • Proactively manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other business databases
  • Work with a team to develop and deploy new data tools across the company utilizing a variety of programming languages 
  • Creating/Maintaining SOPs for End-Users of Database and Software tools
  • Work with 3rd party APIs to maintain cloud-based tools
  • Maintain developed MVC tools and other existing architectures 

Network Management and Administration

  • Work effectively as the IT liaison to a Managed Service Provider to:
    • Manage and maintain network infrastructure for Corporate, Production, and Guest needs
    • Installs, configures, tests and maintains LAN / SAN, and related networking equipment
    • Configures and maintains Microsoft Active Directory 
    • Installs, configures and maintains Firewall, Anti-Virus/Spam/Malware, etc.  according to current best security practices

System Management and Administration

  • Setup and/or maintain corporate servers and workstations, files servers, and other data systems
  • Deploy applications, software and operating systems (including new installations, enhancements and upgrades)
  • Setup and administer Google suite
  • Setup and monitor scheduled jobs and backups and replications.  Create and maintain scripting of common tasks.
  • Review error and security logs to maintain system stability and security
  • Document and create SOPs for common maintenance tasks, maintain or create IT policy documents as it relates to IT infrastructure
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors/contractors to secure system-related products and services
  • Work effectively as the IT liaison to a Managed Service Provider

Help Desk and Co-worker Support

  • Provide co-workers with onsite and remote technical support for IT issues. Act as the primary contact for break-fix issues and effectively mitigate Tier 1 issues
  • Work effectively as the IT liaison to a Managed Service Provider to solve Tier 2 issues
  • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems and processes for fulfilling business objectives 
  • Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems
  • Creates and cultivates an inclusive environment for all guests, co-workers, and the community

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS 

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Overall emphasis on experience with Orchestrated Beer / SAP-B1 & Microsoft SQL Server administration and maintenance; experience in T-SQL; experience with EnCompass cloud route-accounting 
  • Desire to implement and learn new technological frameworks as they relate to specific business needs.
  • A demonstrated history of pursuing learning objectives independently
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills, strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.  
  • A passion to learn and experience working in a small, collaborative team environment.
  • After hours and weekend on-call support required (ability to work around production schedules)
  • Demonstrated experience in network / system administration and maintenance
  • Proficient in LAN and VLAN architecture
  • Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Proficient with Windows Servers 
  • Desire to implement and learn new technologies as they relate industry-specific programs; motivation to learn 
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Information Systems preferred
  • Prior work experience in a related field preferred
  • 5+ years equivalent work experience 
  • Must successfully clear a background check

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and MVC web tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, PHP or related object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience working with SAP B1 Orchestrated Beer and Encompass Technologies
  • Industry-based certifications

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy to heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
  • Shared after hours and weekend on-call support required (ability to work around production schedules)

COMPENSATION 

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Annual Salary Range:

$85,000 - $95,000/yr depending on experience
