This position supports Management, as well as the Commercial and Logistics departments with identifying and finding new accounts to grow our Non-Ferrous and Ferrous volumes, by seeking profitable material within your territory. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are general responsibilities associated with the position as directed:
· Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals from dealers and industrial suppliers.
· Visit with dealers and industrial suppliers, either on the phone or in person, to build strong relationships, promote new and repeat business, provide quotes, deliver excellent customer service, resolve complaints and strengthen long-term rapport.
· Determine prices for individual accounts and maintain prices in CRM and update as required by market conditions.
· Coordinate deliveries with supplier and assist dispatch for delivery and pick up of material, equipment, and roll-off containers where appropriate.
· Develop a network of reliable contacts which will allow up to date information pertaining to buying/selling prices and trends in local/regional markets.
· Assist in developing strategic plans for new dealers and industrial suppliers to generate new sources of materials.
· Utilize knowledge of yard operations and processing to make cost effective pricing decisions, in coordination with Operations Department.
· Keep informed on competitive efforts directed at our accounts.
· Develop strategies and action to prevent account loss.
· Coordinate with administrative staff and trading team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchasing transactions.
· Maintain CRM with all activities and opportunities on a daily basis.
· Provide weekly and monthly reports including estimated inbound volume, type and grade of material, and price structure for material.
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience: The minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job at a satisfactory level.
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid Driver's Liense
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer support or transportation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The minimum level of knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job at a satisfactory level.
· Extended working proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with focus on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely using appropriate mediums (for example, face-to-face, e-mail, and presentations), listen effectively, demonstrate understanding, and clarify meaning for others.
· Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve problems based on sound logic and rationale.
· Ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team, including those holding divergent and/or opposing views and goals.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Knowledge of scrap metal recycling industry a plus.
· Strong management and communication skills.
· Ability to work quickly, independently, and with confidence to handle many challenges.
· Work well with others in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.
· Flexibility to changing work conditions, assignments, and schedules.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful.
· Comfortable working in an industrial environment.
· Ability to drive to customer locations.
· Occasional overnight travel will be necessary for conference and other meetings.

· This position is formally responsible for timely entry of binding Company transactions and confidential management of corporate, operational, and commercial information.
· There is no current requirement for recommendations regarding policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities.

· Visual acuity needed for constant observation, computer utilization and scrap inspection where required.
· Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects of 50 pounds or more.
